The BREVILLE VARIABLE HEAT PANINI PRESS is such a versatile appliance that I use it at least 3 times a week. Do not be fooled by it's description though, it is way more than just a Panini Press. Yes, it makes great sandwiches but it is also the ideal substitute for a BBQ during our long cold Winters and rain filled Springs. Unlike many other indoor grills that only allow you to select the amount of cooking time but allow you no control over the desired heat, the Breville Panini Press allows you to set the desired cooking temperature for anything from grilling up your favorite gourmet cafe-style panini to getting a nice crispy sear on a big juicy steak. It has seven adjustable height control settings that allow you to grill your foods while not squishing them beyond recognition. It is also great for the summer too! Whether you want to grill some kebobs like I did here or just simply grill some fresh sliced vegetables with a beautiful extra virgin olive oil and some salt and pepper, it will quickly and easily do the job. When you are done, the grill cleans up in a pinch. The plates are coated with titanium-infused Quantanium to release food easily and resist wear. So things do not stick to it and any excess grease will runoff into the large drip tray that attaches easily to the front of the grill. The drip tray is top rack safe in your dish washer and the grill can be cleaned with the cleaning scraper that comes with it and then wiped down with a a wet cloth. When you are done with your grill, it can be locked shut and then stood up on it's side for easy storage under a sink or cupboard. The possibilities with the breville panini press are endless. Sandwiches, quesadillas, croutons, crustinis, beef, chicken, pork, fish, lamb, kabob, grilled veggies and so much more are just minutes away with this machine. Don't forget to add on some non-stick friendly tools to go a long with as well as the panini book and some drizzling/finishing oils. Happy cooking and bon apetite!
