"A Job Very Well Done"
I just wanted to let you know how impressed I was with the excellent job the shipping
personnel did of preparing my new coffee maker for the journey to Alberta via Canada
Post.
As per my request, the rather flimsy original packing box was placed into a slightly
larger, much sturdier cardboard carton lined with bubble-wrap. Prior to being so
re-packaged, the shipper also made a point of securely taping all loose parts inside
the inner box in such a manner as to prevent movement during transport, even taking
the time to fold the end of each strip of tape so that removal was a breeze. What
outstanding customer service!
The end-result of all this careful preparation was that the product arrived in pristine
condition - something I do not take for granted, as I've received a number of online-ordered
items over the years that were damaged during shipping.
Bravo, Kitchen Stuff Plus, for a job very well done! I will not hesitate to recommend

I ordered a Henckels cookware set via Amazon.ca, and a head office staff member handled
my order. Amazon.ca did not account for Canada Day as a holiday and when I inquired
about when my order was shipping, your staff member very promptly responded and
upgraded shipping to "Expedited" delivery at no cost to me. The package
arrived on time, and upon opening it 2 items had small defects in them. I contacted
the same staff member and she very willingly offered me 2 alternatives on how to
handle the exchange. The items will be exchanged shortly (again at no expense to
me). This is the kind of customer experience that breeds long term loyalty. All
companies should be so lucky to employ someone as helpful as her. Thank you very

Great Service
"Absolute Delight"
I am writing you this long overdue email to express to you my absolute delight with
your staff at the Kennedy and 401 location. There were two people in particular
that really went above and beyond namely Sean and Melissa. Although it has been
some time since I visited the location (approximately 6 months ago) their fantastic
attitude, friendly smiles and knowledgeable service was absolutely the best customer
care that I have experienced (hence why I took a business card to remind me to acknowledge
their wonderful efforts; which is something I never do.)
The fact that after all this time I am still compelled to write you of their excellent
standards in customer care should speak volumes. I left the store feeling completely
satisfied not only with my purchase of a lovely decanter at a ridiculously low price
but because of your fabulous staff.

"Extremely Impressed"
Just wanted to take the time to pass on Kudos for your employees. I had purchased
a scale at your Toro Sale – The scale was showing that it was working but when I
stepped on it, it was not showing any change. After thoroughly reading the instructions,
I still was not able to use the scale. I decided to take the scale into your store
to see if I could get some assistance. I initially spoke to one associate and after
taking the time to look over the scale, she advised that yes it was not functioning.
I told her that I thought I was doing something wrong and just came in for some
assistance. She advised that because I purchased it at the sale it was all sales
final. I understood this and thanked her for her time. She then stopped me and said
"Hold on, I’ll see if I can do anything for you." I told her that was
not necessary and she insisted. She advised that if I could find anything on the
clearance table for the same price I could exchange my scale for the new item. I
could not believe that she would go to that effort for me. I was extremely impressed
at the customer service that I was shown. I am in the Customer Service Field and
it was nice to see that I am not the only one who tries to please a customer. The
manager who looked after me when I got to the cash showed me kindness and again
excellent customer service. To some people this is not a big deal, but I was very
impressed. Please pass on my thanks again to both of them and you are very lucky
to have such two exemplary employees in your organization. Thanking you all again

I was sent to your store by my daughter to get some items to bring back with me for
her to start pastry school. I was surprised as to the amount of items you carried.
Then I was approached by a young lady who struck up a conversation with me about
baking, which was fabulous. Before I knew it I had my list completed and more items

I had gone to your store to buy a Creme Brulee torch and some ramekins. I went in
at 5:15 / 5:30 (the store closes at 6:00) and was helped by a store employee. She
not only helped me find what I needed, but also went out of her way to look into
alternatives that I had asked about. She was patient, courteous, knowledgeable and
VERY professional. This is above and beyond what one expects, especially given that
I went to the store prior to closing time. Needless to say, this has left a very

Not only was I amazed at the product, the way it was merchandised and the prices...I

I visited the Heartland Kitchen Stuff Plus store this afternoon and was very impressed
with the service I received. I was assisted by Barbara who went out of her way to
get me an item that was beyond my reach, then took the trouble to open it up to
ensure it was in good order and even showed me how to get it together - all that
with a SMILE! This is excellent service. It is nice to know that some retail stores
care about their customers' need as opposed to making a quick sale. At the counter,
I was served by Aaron, who again was very helpful and went out of his way to help
me with an item I needed - walked with me all the way to the back and not just give
me directions to get there! I must applaud the staff at Kitchen Stuff Plus and more

I just purchased a new condo and was lost with the amount of stuff I needed to buy.
My boyfriend and I on this particular day, were looking to buy pots and pans and
had no idea where to start. I had originally gone into Benix to buy pots but didn't

I just wanted to drop a quick line to acknowledge and appreciate the staff at your
Yonge and Bloor location. Every single time I've been in, they have been helpful,
knowledgeable, and proactive. They look to solve my problems and inquiries in a
way that always shocks me. On top of all this, for some reason the store is always
spotless and organized. Specifically, I called in to ask about my grinder, told
me to bring it in, and as soon as I showed up at the counter (2 weeks later), he

all these transactions so easy. It is such a treat to go in there that I find myself

The store is bright and clean and all of the staff are so courteous and friendly,
helpful and upbeat. I got a flyer online for an iron and found it and while I was
wondering around a salesperson politely inquired whether I might need a basket and

ahead of me and all of sudden I heard a voice telling another cashier to jump in
and help me so that I didn't have to wait. I am so often disappointed by retail

I just wanted to let you know about the great customer service I’ve been receiving
from your store. I was at the store looking for picture frames for my daughter’s
baptism. The pleasant sales lady was so helpful. She took the time to help me look
for frames, even to the point where she helped me try the pictures in the frames
you had on display so I could actually see how the pictures would look with the
frames. I appreciated the fact that she went out of her way to help me. That day

I shopped at Kitchen Stuff Plus last week and I was very very impressed by your staff.
I was looking for a set of cookware, knives, and a small blender but didn't know
where to start. One of your associates was extremely helpful and knowledgeable.
He explained to me about tri-ply, all-clad, forged steel, etc. I now look at cookware
much differently. At first I thought he was a culinary student due to his kitchen
knowledge, but he corrected me by saying he's a med student. Such a talented individual
and a great salesman! (he sold me at least 5 different add-ons). I just want to
let the company know that you did a fantastic job in training your staff! Please

I was in the store looking for a cake decorating kit. After asking a staff member
if you sold any and where I could find a cake decorating cake, she pointed me to
a general location at the back of the store but someone else quickly came over to
me to ask how they could help, what kind of decoration supplies I required, etc.,
as well as to share their own personal experiences with products to use. I explained
that I was making a "Hello Kitty" cake for which I had rented a pan and
was attempting to find a basic decorating kit. You helped me tremendously by suggesting
places I could go, and pieces I could use even going so far as to look up certain
tips on the Wilton's website. I cannot tell you how grateful I was (and am) with
your customer service (which seems to exist less and less these days, unfortunately)
and your genuine desire to help me, as this was the first time in 16 years I was

I have never heard of Kitchen Stuff Plus until a few months ago. My financee wanted
me to check out your store but I was reluctant. So we finally went to look around
and ended up registering for our wedding. One of the reasons was the staff at the

I love shopping at Kitchen Stuff Plus. Staff are consistently very helpful and friendly.
I was there Friday shopping for a simple kitchen knife, when a sales person asked
if I needed any help. I was amazed at the amount of knowledge he had about knives.
I now had all the facts I needed to make a better choice and I walked away knowing
I bought the best knife for my needs. Another sales person was equally helpful.
I was looking at leather ottomons on sale. I wasn't ready to buy one that day but
she offered to check stock availability and offered to give me the dimensions of

I just wanted to say that I worked at Yonge and Bloor in 1993 (I still do work there
but like you, in a different building) and I was probably one of your earliest customers.
I still have the first item that I ever bought from you which is a kitchen scour-pad
holder shaped like a shark - see below. Being from the "Jaws" generation
I thought it was hilarious. So did a couple of my friends who got them as stocking
stuffers that Christmas. It's many years later and I still often go into your store.
My KitchenAid mixer, my coffee maker and countless other smaller items have come

I have to say THANKS so much to your employees. My son and husband came into the
store to purchase a hand blender. I don’t know how they did it but I have always
wanted a KitchenAid Processor and they was able to talk him into purchasing the
exact one I wanted. My husband was really impressed with the level of professionalism
and funny personality. Christmas came early to me and I am so delighted. Please

"Shopping Easier"
I visited Kitchen Stuff Plus and had OUTSTANDING service from 3 different employees
there. It's so hard to get good staff, that I was in awe that you would have THREE
employees all of whom made a real impression for their "above and beyond"
good service!
I was shopping for supplies to make five Christmas Centrepieces. When I arrived,
there was the greeter at the door, and right behind her were the packages of gold
plastic "charger" plates. As I started to look through them, she offered
to help, and she was SO pleasant! I needed 2 boxes, and she helped me to dig around
until I found them. She also pointed out that there were plates at the back of the
store that had rhinestones around the edge if I preferred.
Next I went to the section with glass canisters and was down on the floor pulling
out 5 of each of 3 sizes. A staff member came by and asked if I was finding enough.
She got right down to help me, and when we realized we were short, she offered to
get more. When she arrived back, not only did she bring me more canisters, but also
cardboard boxes to protect them and make them easier to carry. Smart thinking! She
helped me to put them into the boxes, and made sure I didn't get mixed up and take
more than planned when we combined the ones in the buggy plus the ones she had brought
from the back.
While an employee was in the back, another staff member came by and kidded me to
say "Are you going to buy everything on the shelf? If so, I'm happy to help
you pack it up!" Imagine a fella with that sense of humour!
As I went back and forth through the store choosing my pieces, many of the other
staff also paused to ask if they could be of help. They said "hi" each
time I passed the front, carried the boxes around the cash desk and put them into
the buggy for me. They also happily escorted me to the car so I could use the buggy
vs carrying everything.
You should be very proud of your staff for really setting themselves apart for their
good service. It certainly made me happy and made my shopping easier. Thank you

My mother and I just got back from shopping at your store and your staff really went
above and beyond to help us. We were looking for 15 pieces for a center piece and
your staff called several locations to help us find what we were looking for. They

"Patient and Polite"
I would like inform your company about some very lovely ladies I came across who
were very patient and polite and helped me with a few items. I find it very rare
to shop at a busy store and find an employee who is nice and patient and able to
help someone like myself. I am a deaf older woman and was very fortunate to find
a person able to communicate with myself. They even showed me some items and were
very nice and willing to take the time I needed and help me. I’ve never shopped
at your store before but I will definitely be returning in the future. I will also
be letting my friends from my hearing impaired help group know that Kitchen Stuff
Plus has some great staff able to help people like me. I believe the girls did a
great job with their sign language and I found having someone I could communicate

"Just Amazing!"
I just wanted to send a note of appreciation to all the staff at Kitchen Stuff Plus.
From the moment we entered the store (my 90 year old Mom & I), we were treated
as if we were the only clients in the store. A young lady helped us find a great
new kitchen clock as well as some dinner plates. I observed various staff members
helping other customers with the same kind of courteous, helpful behaviour. What
a pleasure to do business in such an environment! And finally at the checkout counter
a young lady advised us we couldn't remove the cart - however someone could carry
the dishes out to the car for us! And she packed them for us as if they were Royal
Doulton instead of one of your fabulous sale items! We go to Disney World 3 times
a year and naturally expect this type of service from the cast members. Seldom have
we ever had it in any other environment! Usually, it's difficult to get one person's
attention for help, let alone an entire store filled with wonderful people. Many,

and had a blast. My husband is not a shopper at all, but your sales associates had
him laughing and joking so much that he actually picked a few items out to purchase

was very impressed (as he walks with a cane) with the fact that without us asking,

"Friendly Faces and Hellos"
I would like to take the time to commend the great customer service I received at
Kitchen Stuff Plus. It was my first time in a Kitchen Stuff Plus, as a friend of
mine had given me a gift card as a housewarming gift. I was very impressed by the
selection and more impressed by the customer service my fiancée and I received upon
entering the store. We were greeted by friendly faces and hellos. Every Sales Associate
that we passed by offered their assistance. At no point did we feel overwhelmed
by the Associates trying to sell, but we felt genuinely welcome into the store.
We were most impressed at the checkout where there was only ourselves and another
person in line. The cashier quickly called for assistance to serve the other customer.

"An Incredible Experience"
Over the years I have come to hate shopping and malls because of the bad service,
the crowded aisles, and crowds generally. I have come to like your store, as it
is just so compact and has everything I need without having to walk 10 lengths of
a football field to find what I want.
I don't shop often, but this past week I was pleasantly surprised with my trek to
the mall for Christmas shopping. The first store I landed in - Kitchen Stuff Plus.
What a thoroughly pleasant and enjoyable experience! There were at least 3 nicely
priced items right at the door that would make universally appealing hostess gifts,
or stocking stuffers. There was a blessed shopping cart but not only that, the aisles
were clear and clean enough that me with my diminishing long range eye sight could
actually negotiate a cart without the chance of a mountain of some merchandise falling
on me. Not just one or two aisles but ALL THE AISLES! - What a pleasure to actually
shop for stuff. But that's not all. A very super friendly non-invasive sales staff
asked if she could help and not only said ‘yes we have that’, she went and got it
for me! SEVERAL TIMES! She made helpful suggestions, like did I need tea lights?
Of course I need lights! Then the flyer that just came out was presented to me,
and I found at least 60% of my shopping list done in under 1 hour.
It was an incredible experience. I noticed all the staff in this store was very customer
oriented, cheerful and helpful. What ever the training program you're doing, I'd
say it's paying off as you have me now as a loyal customer. All the best for a prosperous

While I try my best to be a coupon shopper I just wanted to provide some feedback
on your prices and products. I am amidst a move to a new apartment and have required
quite a few items. I have compared prices with many of your competitors as well
as the quality and variety of products and have found that KSP has ranked highest
in all categories. I had not thought of shopping for many items from you because
of coupons from Home Outfitters etc, but wanted to tell you that my recent experience
has changed my mind. I'm getting ready to buy my Cuisinart Grind and Brew coffee
