Housewares Club Points

As of July 1, 2010 Club Members will no longer be allowed to redeem club points when making purchases at their local Kitchen Stuff Plus store.

Customers should sign up for our weekly e-Stuff email notifications. e-Stuff subscribers receive information on new arrivals, in-store promotions, red hot deals, contests, special events and valuable discounts.

When shopping, be sure to identify yourself with your phone number. It allows us to track your purchases for you. That means should you ever need to return an item we'll have your receipt stored for you. And as we get to know you better you'll begin to receive customized communication based on your shopping needs. So the more you shop, the more you'll get, the more you'll save!

Why we have chosen to eliminate our points program.

When the point system was first introduced, it allowed customers to quickly and easily accumulate 100 points so that they could instantly redeem $5 on a $50 purchase. The goal of the program was to provide frequent rewards – every 2nd or 3rd visit. No waiting for months to accumulate enough points to redeem towards a purchase.

However, almost all other loyalty or point programs work very differently than ours - requiring customers to collect points for a long period of time (often years). Customers typically need to accumulate a large point balance - then redeem their points all at once to get something for free. Unfortunately, customers expect our points program to work the same way, and are disappointed when it doesn't. For example, they want to redeem 300 points (100 x $5) and pick up $15 worth of free product. Our point program was never intended to work this way.

Most point programs provide customers with a discount value between 1 and 1.5% of their purchases. Adapting our program to match the rest of the world would require us giving away a 5% discount (at current point values) on every purchase. Because we work hard to provide amazing deals on everything in our stores, we can't afford to give away such an aggressive discount on every purchase.

Our new e-Stuff program offers bigger, better and more frequent discounts! And the feedback we're getting tells us that our customers like it better.
