At Kitchen Stuff Plus, we offer our customers the opportunity to browse or shop online in a secure manner. The security of your information is of utmost importance to us and, as such, we provide the highest level of secure payment processing available today.
When using our web site, we do not gather any personal information without your consent. We may track domain addresses from which customers visit us in order to analyze trends and statistics but your personal information will remain anonymous.
WHAT WE COLLECT FROM YOU
(a) When placing an order on our web site:
We collect your name, full address, e-mail address and phone number that you are authorizing Kitchen Stuff Plus to use in order to process your order.
(b) When entering our shopping spree:
We require only your e-mail address which becomes part of our database at which time you will begin receiving our regular promotional e-mails. If you should become a winner of our shopping spree, you will be notified via your e-mail address.
(c) When signing-up for our promotional e-mails:
We collect only your e-mail address.
(d) When joining our Housewares Club:
We ask for your telephone number which serves as your account number. However, we will never phone you for marketing purposes, only for customer service reasons, i.e., if you have an item on layaway, have placed a special order, etc. We also collect your full mailing address to send you a promotion in the mail if one is underway.
If you choose not to provide any of the above information, you will be unable to shop online, enter our shopping spree, receive our promotional e-mails or join our Housewares Club.
HOW WE USE THIS INFORMATION INTERNALLY
The information we gather from our customers is used in several ways. For instance, if you are shopping online, the information gathered is used to ship the product to you and analyze where our customers are located. We may also use this information to notify you of new and exciting products and special offers or to let you know of any important changes at Kitchen Stuff Plus. Customer information also helps us to analyze the use of our web site to see what you use most so we may improve the services we offer.
USE OF THIS INFORMATION BY AFFILIATED THIRD PARTIES
We will not sell, rent, give or share your name, postal address, e-mail address and any other personal information about you or your account to anyone or any organization that is not affiliated with Kitchen Stuff Plus.
Affiliated third parties who are approved to work with Kitchen Stuff Plus will use this information confidentially to help get important Kitchen Stuff Plus information to you. These parties may include ad agencies, mailing houses, vendors or other business specialists who have been selected by Kitchen Stuff Plus to help execute and deliver promotional marketing materials to our customers that are controlled by Kitchen Stuff Plus.
Kitchen Stuff Plus, in conjunction with Eigen Development, offers you every assurance that your credit card information will be transmitted in a secure environment solely for the purpose of your transaction which is processed through Eigen's MiraPay product, an Internet eCommerce Payment Gateway.
Because many customers are concerned about shopping online, Kitchen Stuff Plus has partnered with Global Payments (our merchant services provider) and Eigen Development in order to ensure that the highest level of security is available on our site.
Credit card information is encrypted and sent to Eigen's servers. The information is parsed into a format that is understood by Global Payments’ gateway and is sent to Global Payments via the Internet. Once Global Payments receives this information, it is passed through to the banking network. Kitchen Stuff Plus' account is credited, your credit card account is debited and an authorization is sent back to Eigen's servers. At this point, a receipt is generated and sent to your web browser and an e-mail order notification is sent to us. This all takes place in less than 30 seconds.
MiraPay takes reasonable efforts to ensure that both Kitchen Stuff Plus and our customers can securely use MiraPay. You can feel confident entering your credit card number on MiraPay's secure encrypted site because we never see the credit card number and we do not have to store credit card information in our databases.
128-Bit Encryption
MiraPay uses industry standard security features. For this reason, MiraPay requires that all customers who would like to purchase items from Kitchen Stuff Plus have a browser with 128-bit encryption. This is a standard feature with all of the latest browsers and can be downloaded for free from most browsers.
Cookies
Shoppers need to ensure that cookies are enabled while they are processing transactions through MiraPay. MiraPay only stores information in the cookie that is relevant to the transaction that is taking place.
SHOPPING IN OUR STORES
For security purposes, our premises are monitored by video surveillance.
Personal information and recordings collected through video surveillance may be disclosed to third parties such as law enforcement officials, at our discretion. This disclosure may occur if we determine that there is or has been a threat to the security of our premises, employees or customers or if a violation of any law is anticipated or has occured.
